Businesses and political leaders are committed to making vehicles emission-free. With this shift towards electrification comes a demand for test systems that focus solely on e-axles. At AVL, we develop e-axle solutions that can be easily installed without impacting the productivity of your engineering facility. This is made possible by our newly developed AVL E-Axle TS™, which has a small footprint and can be installed on any industrial floor. This turnkey solution eases development effort, as well as cost and time pressures.
The AVL E-Axle TS™ delivers a system ready for productive testing that fulfills the requirement of thermal and service lifetime validation. Pre-configured standardized cycles for lifetime validation and temperature aging in operation of e-drives can be easily combined with your duty cycles

Our market-leading testbeds enable development activities such as lifetime tests and various speed and torque tests. However, without requiring high parametrization effort, “no throttle tests” (e-drive without control unit) are made easy. This means that only the torque interface to the e-drive is necessary. Our climatic chamber and conditioning systems enable testing under different climatic and humidity conditions. This type of testing, such as HTOE and PTCE, is mandatory in e-drive development. The climatic chamber operates in a temperature between -40 °C and 85 °C.

The AVL E-Axle TS™ is a complete solution for developing, testing, verifying, and validating your e-axle, independently if it is a single motor or a dual motor axle. It is designed to determine and analyze electrical, mechanical, and thermal characteristics, as well as for service lifetime and thermal endurance testing.
