With strong e-mobility market growth, manufacturers are facing new demands regarding rising industrialization and production volume, as well as increasing testing capacity and process automation. To overcome these challenges and to produce high-quality products, appropriate testing solutions for the electrified propulsion system are needed along the whole production chain: from in-process verification to end of line (EOL) and quality audit, to Conformity of Production (COP). At AVL, we accompany you in all project phases from concept, through implementation, to operation. We provide test methodology support and test equipment for electrified propulsion systems for passenger cars as well as light-duty and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

From working on the internal combustion engine, we have over 40 years of experience in different EOL testing applications. More than 400 AVL test systems are currently installed at production sites worldwide. Our portfolio covers the complete range from components delivery to full turnkey projects. While meeting the ongoing needs of our customers concerning ICE testing, we have developed a strong focus on EOL testing applications in the e-mobility field.

Production testing is a key data generator in a production line, making it essential for securing and optimizing both production process and product quality. Generated data is also a powerful tool for other phases in the product’s lifecycle – from concept to in-use. To process obtained data usefully, our in-house software solution PUMA 2™ is the perfect companion for our testing equipment.
